Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of internet set up do I need to provide at my event venue?
Live streaming a video feed even at high quality doesn't take much speed. We only caer about the upload speed and that should be about 10 mbps. Also, a port connection is preferred but not necessary.

Can I use media that is copyrighted?
Yes and no. Most songs and video clips are copyrighted and there are services Lightsail has subscribed to which allow us to produce a feed using certain music tracks. Technically, we can license any music, but don't hold your breath for that pop song you like. Most platforms that take a live feed have software that looks for copyrighted music and flag it immediately.

How many cameras and inputs can you have?
As many as you've got! Most live productions wouldn't need more than 3 cameras and we can still input pre-produced videos and additional inputs for things like PowerPoint files.

Can you bring in virtual presenters, and if so, how many?
Yes, that's very common and the software we use has it's own way to patch in that doesn't require Zoom, Teams, or any other software. We can handle up to 7 virtual participants and links don't require additional software installation.
